Now that we’ve officially entered the month of May, summer (and vacation!) feels so much closer. I’m ready to add some fun new items to my wardrobe, refresh the house and amp up my health and skincare routines. In this new, seasonal post series, I’m sharing a few things I’ve been eyeing lately that promise to delight. Continue reading “summer wish list”
Even though summer technically ends next month, in the South, temperatures get even hotter this time of year. It’s usually around August that I pray fall weather comes early. But until the first cool breeze of October, I need to find other ways to keep my chill. Continue reading “how to create a summer-ready bedroom”
Call me crazy for suggesting maxi skirts in this hot-as-Hades heat, but they’re just one trend I can’t quit. Maxi skirts are actually quite cool and comfy. If nothing else, at least they buy you a few extra days of no shaving. Maxis made with light fabric and pretty material make for a perfect, easy summertime look. Happy Fourth of July everybody! It’s a full blown rainy day here in Nashville, but at least we have good food and good company to entertain us. I’m back! I said that with an exclamation mark, but really, I’m kind of bummed… Technically I went on a babysitting trip, but it felt like a vacation. Just getting out of town for a few days was heavenly. What can I say? I love to travel! Seriously, as long as my career involves frequent traveling, I’ll be totally satisfied. Nashville will always be home, of course, but I gain new appreciation for it after visiting other places. Keep reading to see photos from my trip to Louisiana! Continue reading “wanderlust”
Well, I’ll be absent from the blog for a few days while I take a little trip down to Louisiana. A family I babysit for asked me to help out with the kids on their vacation. They’re meeting up with some family members at a lake for a little reunion and lots of food. I’m pretty pumped since I’ve never been to Louisiana. See you again next Wednesday!
