The Met Ball is the most glamorous, extravagant, highly-anticipated fashion event of the year. Some would call it the “Super Bowl” or “Oscars” of fashion. There’s certainly enough celebrity appearances to make any pop culture fanatic (like myself) swoon. The Met Gala theme, “Punk: Chaos to Couture,” was certainly odd for an event geared toward the more sophisticated, sartorial set. However, Miley Cyrus, January Jones, Nicole Richie and Cara Delevingne rocked the punk look with everything from spikey, short hair to shiny metal accents. Here are some of my favorites – or, that is, the celebs that best represented the theme.
Of course, there were plenty of well-dressed celebs at the Gala. You may be surprised not to see my girl T Swift on the list of best dressed, but her look was more Guinevere than Debbie Harry. Gwyneth Paltrow looked stunning as usual. Amanda Seyfried, Cameron Diaz, Alexa Chung, Carey Mulligan, Kristen Stewart, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Lawrence, Hailey Steinfeld, Blake Lively, the Dakota sisters, Emma Watson, Michelle Williams and Solange Knowles are worthy of a Google search.
