To be honest, this is the first season I’ve paid attention to Pre-Fall collections. 2013 is a fresh start though and, I have to say, I’m never disregarding Pre-Fall again. The collections this year blew me away, but that could be because I’m not a seasoned critic on Pre-Fall. “Opulent” seems to be the best, all-emcompassing word I can think of for these collections. Lace, leather, peplum and graphic prints are the dominant trends. Edgy mixed with lady-like, floral with leather, print on print and vast combinations of textures appears in almost every collection. Here are a few of my favorite looks. They helped me out of my “style rut” in this dreary weather.
