It’s Fashion Week people! The best week of the year. NYFW is a tease really. Just as we get into Fall temps and styles, designers crank out these lovely Spring/Summer lines making us long for warm days and bright, airy clothes. It’s the nature of the beast I guess – wanting what you can’t have. All that aside, the shows so far have been stellar. I’m so excited I might start trying out some of the trends now… Oops.

I had to majorly restrain myself when choosing which images and shows to feature today. Hopefully this gives you a good idea of where the trends are headed for the Spring/Summer 2013 season.

Marchesa – There is no questioning where Georgina Chapman and and Keren Craig got their inspiration. The whole show reminded me of a fantastical Indian wedding.
Proenza Schouler – Jack and Lazaro are the masters of abstract prints and making sporty look chic. This season was no different with leather and photoprints a plenty.
Jenny Packham – Shimmer and shine was the name of the game.
J. Crew – No one mixes prints and casual-sophisticated style like J. Crew.
Marc by Marc Jacobs – Possibly my favorite Marc show. Colors and prints a plenty.
